NorDev Con

On the 28th of Feb three of the Nomad team headed to King's Street in Norwich for NorDevCon, hosted by Naked Element. The conference was organised into six tracks of speakers. These were:

Full Frontal 2011

There was a contest after Full Frontal to write a blog post about the conference and be in with a chance to win a couple of tickets for next year's event. The deadline was the end of November so I may have missed that… Full Frontal had an interesting line up and venue – the ever good Duke of Yorks cinema in Brighton who provided free coffee and pastry treats throughout the day. Fruit was provided by Prem at Dharma Fly which is a nice touch for a conference of geeks. Prem also hosts the fortnightly AsyncJS meet up, which is worth checking out if you're ever in Brighton.

EEUK 2011

This month I attended the first UK based Expression Engine conference aptly called 'EEUK'. Held in Manchester town hall, and kindly organised by Ian Ebden from DesignKarma. Typically, Expression Engine conferences have always been held abroad, either in parts of Europe, or as EECI is this year, in America.

FullFrontal 2010

Last Friday was Fullfrontal 2010 held at the Duke of York's cinema here in Brighton. As it's only ten minutes walk from my front door I felt obliged to attend. And I'm glad I did because it was awesome!

dConstruct 2010

dConstruct, like previous years, was inspirational rather than educational. I don't think I learnt much that I didn't know already, but that's not why I went. For me dConstruct is very much about ideas – generating them, evolving them, feeding my own imagination with the ideas of others – and in that respect it was as fantastic as ever.
